What's up! My name's Eric. I'm a transplanted New Jerseyan enjoying some fun in the sun in South Florida. While I love fishing, I've developed a passion for helping people catch some of the bucket list species I'm fortunate enough to have in my backyard. The water brings tranquility, rehabilitation, peace, and happiness to me, and I enjoy sharing it with others. Teaching people how to improve their angling skills, sharing my knowledge of fishing, and seeing the joy and excitement of people becoming more successful on the water is extremely rewarding for me as a full time fishing guide.
While I do enjoy wetting a line, you'll also find me getting my hands dirty and wrenching on my boat, and vehicle. I can also be spotted in the kitchen whipping up some tasty meals, cuz I love to eat! I also love to explore, and enjoy destination Planet Earth. I share all these things on my channel, and I'm appreciative of everyone who joins me.

Unboxing Turtlebox LIMITED EDITION Color River Rock Gen 2 Portable Speaker
Checking out the new limited edition color River Rock that Turtle Box released. This is my first turtlebox speaker so I cannot compare it to the gen 1 speaker. I'm really impressed with the gen 2 speaker. For an all in one portable speaker, it packs a punch! The mid levels leave a little to be desired, but I was able to bring them out a bit better with some equalization in my music app. I wanted to have a little fun and show you guys a quick video about this speaker to hopefully help you make a better purchase decision. I know turtlebox has been all the rage and super trendy amongst the fishing, hiking, camping, fly fishing, rock climbing communities, and I can easily see why. Thanks for watching!

How Is This Water So CLEAR?!?!? Sight Fishing Peacock Bass
Переглядів 2,7 тис.3 місяці тому
Sight fishing is the best kind of fishing you can do. Especially when the water is crystal clear and you can see everything! Whether its largemouth bass, peacock bass, smallmouth, snook, tarpon, redfish, the list goes on... When you can sight fish any species and watch them eat your lure, its a good day. I came out today to prepare for some upcoming peacock bass fishing charters I have booked. ...
Top 3 Lures To Catch MONSTER Snakeheads!
Переглядів 1,2 тис.5 місяців тому
Book a guided fishing trip with me www.flobass.com These are my most productive lures I use on a weekly basis both on my fishing charters, as well as personally when chasing after snakeheads. I've been dialing in what works best for me and these is it, in a nutshell. There's plenty more lures out there that will catch these crazy fish, and yes, I do use more than just these three lures. However...
Can I Catch The KING of CANAL MONSTERS?!?
Переглядів 6695 місяців тому
I've been searching for that double digit monster snakehead for a long time! I only managed to catch one over 10 pounds back in 2014. I've come close a few times, but I have not been able to beat my personal best in so long! Fishing for these monsters can be really difficult! It takes a lot of casts and patience to land a huge fish like this. When I have a client request a snakehead charter, I ...
Fly Fishing Charter For Peacock Bass
Переглядів 1,5 тис.6 місяців тому
Fly fishing trips are my favorite trips to run with my clients. As a fly fishing guide, its so rewarding to guide my fly anglers onto their bucket list fish here in Florida. These were the first two trips with my new Redington fly rods and reels. I think Redington makes some of the best bang for your buck fly fishing equipment, hands down. They offer a lot of value to fly anglers and you get so...
Unboxing My New Fly Fishing Arsenal For Guiding!
Переглядів 3047 місяців тому
I'm really excited to be hosting a lot more fly fishing charters in the upcoming months. I really needed to get my fly fishing gear in order and get some high quality fly reels and fly rods. Fortunately that doesn't mean spending an arm and a leg to get quality gear in my clients hands. I went with Redington fly rods and reels. The predator series feels great casting heavy flies such as clouser...
Secret Way To Rig NLBN Lil Mullet To Land More Fish!
Переглядів 5 тис.8 місяців тому
I've been rigging the NLBN lil mullets like this for some time now when I hit the docks at night for some tarpon action. It takes a little more time to rig the baits this way, but the end results are worth the extra effort. I've had way less tarpon throw the hook this way. Obviously it works for snook as well. I think the big takeaway from this is how much longer the baits last. NLBN isn't exac...
Training To Fight Fires At Sea
Переглядів 36610 місяців тому
Practical shipboard fire fighting training with Resolve Academy in Port Everglades, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In this drill, we simulated a shipboard fire inside a hold of a container ship. We got to see first hand the thermal barrier, and smoke accumulation on the ceiling which is unburnt fuel that could ignite, causing a backdraft. The hose bursts are 3 to 5 seconds to limit the amount of wate...
Straight Line Mission Through The Florida Everglades | Largemouth Fishing Charter
Переглядів 1,3 тис.11 місяців тому
Wrapping up the third and final day with my French anglers, Greg and Tangee. During our first two trips we didn't really come across a lot of largies, and knowing that they both love to fish for lmb's back home, I decided to take them to one of the prettiest places in South Florida where you can potentially boat well over a hundred largemouth in a day. We didn't quite reach that number, but und...
Alligators Trying To Eat Our Fish! - Peacock Bass Fishing Charter
Переглядів 52011 місяців тому
Another great fishing charter out in the everglades. Day number 2 with my french fishermen Greg and Tangee was a blast. It was super hot, but we caught a ton of fish out there. Even battled some alligators. I wasn't able to show all of the fish but we caught tons of different species. Largemouth, peacock bass, gar, mayan cichlid, jaguar cichlid, sunfish, crappie, and more. The everglades is a s...
Crazy French Anglers Fish Urban Miami | Fishing Charter
Переглядів 534Рік тому
Fishing is an international language. If you like tight lines and bending rods, we're automatically family. The same held true for my two French clients. They hail from the southern region of France where the giant Wels catfish lurk in the lakes and rivers. You may have seen the videos with Silure in the title. Well, that would be French for catfish. I brushed up on some French before they land...
Snakehead Trials and Tribulations - Fishing Charter
Переглядів 338Рік тому
Snakeheads are not easy to catch. Even experienced anglers get their butts whooped from time to time. On this fishing charter I had the pleasure of hosting an angler that lives in Manhattan and fishes in central park. He doesn't get a lot of chances to get out there and go fishing where he lives, and he was pumped to target these crazy fish we have in South Florida. Kai had booked a full day ch...

Here are my top peacock bass fishing lures you need in your tackle box if you plan on coming down to Florida to catch your bucket list species, or even if you're a resident. I've been fishing for these things quite some time and have gone through a lot of lures that cannot stand up to their incredible ...
Sight Fishing On Fly In Miami

Fun short day with Kris and Steph in the urban sprawls of Miami. I was really looking forward to having a fly angler on the boat to get on some sight fishing action. You never know what is going to bite when you have a fly in the water. Everything comes unglued to eat a fly and we had quite a few other bites off camera. Super fun day on the water with some great people. ~Eric Book a guided fish...

I had to prep the boat and all of my gear for a peacock bass fishing charter I had the next day. This is about as bare minimum as it gets to prep for a trip. Depending on if I'm booked the next day or not, I will do all my prep as soon as I get home. However the boat had been par...

When Lures Work Better Than Live Bait! This Never Happens!
in 4 years the price boat only is up to 8,200
You mention you would go to a stainless prop, what one are you thinking about getting and what pitch? Would you do a review on it if you get one? I got the same motor and contemplating going to a ss prop too.
What frogs are being used
What kind of floor are you running
People, only watch this if you want to know what NOT to do. You're sprays should overlap. even from the initial primer coat he is leaving massive gaps & has to go back over it to get proper coverage. And then Uses acetone (paint remover) to clean after each coat. His final finish is the ultimate example of a rubbish job, The entire cowl was "orange peeled" when he put the cowl on the motor just before he put the decals on. It should have been polish smooth before he ever put the clear coat on. Watch any other video but this one!
Go 2 stroke much lighter
hah the rain and welcome to florida is so accurate
Very nice I’m getting ready to put a deck on mine
what gig you using
I will be ecstatic if I can get the results you did. I will be taking this project on later in the year. Right now I'm to wrapped up in learning how to repair gelcoat 😂. Already enrolled in the school of You tube for DYI boat engine repair and restoration 😅. I actually enjoy working on my boat so it doesn't bother me to learn and apply my new skills. When you finally get it right there's no better feeling. I can't thank guys like you enough for sharing your skills and teaching others like myself who really want to learn. I can't have a boat if I can't do the work. I'm an average person making an average wage trying to do a rich mans hobby 😂. You know what though I'm pulling it off. If you take your time and learn what to look for before you buy a boat you can find one that isn't ridiculously expensive and just needs some love. You have to want it! You have to love learning and doing your own work. If you do it's not break out another thousand it's break out a couple hundred and get ready to put in time and some elbow grease. Be ready to make mistakes and do it again sometimes to. My boat has come a long way and it's really starting to look awesome. I love knowing she's mine and I brought her back to beautiful with my own two hands and few ulcers😅.
I think you should have spooled the spinning reel with a mono backing instead of using 500 yards of expensive braid. That would still leave enough braid that you would never see the mono. In addition, attaching braid directly to the spool leaves too much chance for the braid to spin on the spool, even after filling the reel. But then again, the main purpose of the video was to trail the spooling device, which you accomplished.
Bro rod tip is fishing 101 nice vid I’m actually in Broward very cool
I am right handed but I very much prefer the handle on the LEFT side so I can cast with the RIGHT hand, and immediately start reeling if necessary. Maybe this is because I fish the majority of the time with a spinning reel or fly rod or cane pole or tenkara pole. But for a right hander, cast with the right hand. What now will the left hand do? It should do all the reeling. Right hand can apply thumb pressure to the spool if a bit of extra drag is needed. I always fish with a very light drag and use my thumb as needed, the RIGHT thumb, because I am holding the rod and palmint the reel with my RIGHT hand. Left hand does the cranking. Fine motor skills are not needed for cranking the handle. Righties, try it with left hand retrieve for a week and you will be hooked.
LOL HEAD AND SHOULDERS?! GTFO noob
I'm thinking to get a 1436 with 25hp jet for shallow water
What was length of boat
Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤❤
Nope. I've never forgotten. the plug. That would be pretty idiotic
14:15 Wow...no comments 😅😅
one time i had a peacock on, got him on land, he got off and flopped back in the water, went back to the bed, and ate again. Let's just say I got a picture with a peacock.
Do u have a 2in hitch?
When you had this motor, did it have a small squeal? At idle or slightly in gear. Goes away at higher RPM
Can you please tell me what floor you have in the boat and material?
Why is your motor missing so much
You have me kayak cred for having something you made. Pretty sweet
Doubles as a small cannon.
long chaft have yamaha no good , honda better boats- short
why couldent you use the heat gun to flare the end to fit the tiller handle instead of using the hacksaw and then use the one hose clamp to secure it thus getting your weight bias forward
Excellent video. Nicely produced... Thanks!
I used 2 shop vac extensions. 1 slides inside the other making the length i wanted. These are lighter than pvc, fit exactly over my tohatsu tiller. Do the pair of cut slits making it have the ability to be clamped tight. Already black.
Skip the acetone and use water and let it air dry USE THE TACK CLOTH BEFORE PRIMING and every time you sand..sand with 800 or 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper, NOT the steel wool. MOST IMPORTANTLY....SPRAY IN AN AREA WITH GOOD LIGHTING...if you spray like he did in low lighting, it will turn out like crap like his did and not a smooth glass finish...good lighting will show your imperfections that need to be addressed and not spend all that money to say "I'm ok with it" or just to cover it up with a decal. A high quality gloss should look like a high quality finish, not like a gloss that looks like he used a 97 cent can of spray!
Short shaft motor ??
Put your gas and the batters up front
Do people ever throw rocks or stuff at you when you come to there docks and lights and try to take the fish they are trying to attract for themselves that seems kinda scumbaggy kinda like theft
The canal is not owned by one single person, so for them to complain that they are fishing in front of their dock would be like someone yelling at you for walking on a public sidewalk. And those lights are not intentionally put there to attract fish. If they were, why isn't nobody outside fishing then? Why would someone leave those lights on all night if ur not even using them? But like I said almost every boat dock has them. There just lights so u can see at night and to alert other boaters there is a dock and boat parked there.
frogs are best for snakeheads
NEVER shelter under a tree during a thunderstorm, Your chances of being struck is high
Is it easy to chage the fuel filter? you just screw it out and put in new filter?
Why not tohatsu? Their engined are lighter...any tips? Thanks!
how did this hold up? I'm looking at doing something like this or going the aluminum angle and rivet route. This looks so much more manageable for me and my skillset. I do have a foot controlled trolling motor that I need to mount. That deck looks perfect for that as long as I can secure it to the boat .
Can this paint and process apply to the rest of the outboard?
Awesome Tutorial, bumpppp!!
Whats the total weight of boat and trailer?
Nice boat, how much did it cost
This is impressive results. And the F25 is a compelling option if you're stuck deciding between a 20 and a 25 tiller, the Yamaha F25 is basically a strong 20 as it is a 2 cylinder design, it has less displacement (432cc) as the 3 cylinder brands (500cc) but more than the 20hp 2 cylinder options (>350cc). It is a true in between and offers the best combo of power and weight savings. I'd like to know what the fuel burn difference is compared to a Tohatsu 25 and see if having less displacement makes a difference (even though the Tohatsu is working less hard).
Great video
Just bought a 2003 Yamaha 25hp 4 stroke basically just like this one. Do you have like a amazon list of all the products you used there? Would be awesome just to order it all and get it shipped to me. Our local marina is outrageous on pricing.
great info , the brass crush washer , would you know the part number for that item ?
Beautiful motor
Awesome, simple, cost effective project, on a small functional boat , its all ya need to have a day fishing. Good job.
What scale is that?
Gambler lures sells that one. It's just a rebrand of a cheap Chinese one. I believe Kastking and also Piscifun sell the same one on amazon.
